PARTNERING

DEMONSTRATING SUCCESSFUL TEAM WORKING

ERHC are committed to Partnering and have experience of formal and informal Partnering Arrangements as both Principal Contractor and as a Supply Chain Member.

Relationship Management is a fundamental aspect to our working culture. Its success ensures a collaborative approach which is of mutual benefit to all parties. Adopting this approach has resulted in a culture of team working being generated, successfully proven on numerous projects, two of which have been highlighted below.

Example 1
We are currently working in partnership with the Welsh Assembly Government and Atkins (Traffic Wales) on the All Wales Maintenance Contract. Through successful partnering, we have achieved a fully integrated approach to Maintenance and Fault Management, Continuous Improvement, Demonstrable Added Value and Safety. A thorough, professional asset management approach, has resulted in year-on-year improvements to system availability and reduced costs.

Example 2
Immediately after the award of the Systems Upgrade of the A38 Tamar Bridge & Saltash Tunnel, a Partnering Workshop was implemented by us and attended by the Highways Agency, consultants WSP, Cornwall County Council and Supply Chain Members. The resultant Project Specific Partnering Charter contributed in the delivery of this successful contract, achieving:

  • Improved communications enabling 360° feedback;
  • A pro-active approach with speedier problem resolution and decision making;
  • The establishment of a successful working relationship, resulting in reductions in operating costs; and
  • An open working environment effectively reducing resource commitment.

"Complete project executed within difficult constraints (parallel projects, numerous contractors) in a very professional manner."
Principal Engineer, WSP

"...commitment to Partnering on this Project was Outstanding"
Project Sponsor, Highways Agency
