Brynglas Tunnels Maintenance Closure For SWTRA

On 30th June (Eastbound) and 1st July (Westbound) the Brynglas Tunnel was closed for the purpose of maintenance activities. ERH managed the closure and all required maintenance activities including:

All activities were completed as per the planned works schedule, with a full sweep undertaken prior to the tunnels re-opening to traffic.

Following successful completion, Mark Chambers, Electrical/Maintenance Senior Lead Engineer for SWTRA, praised the efforts of the ERH team:

I would just like to say how well the closures actually went and how pleasing it was to see Rhys running the job with his professionalism and doggedness in covering all aspects of the closure, from the maintenance, installation of the temporary generator and the organisation of subcontractors attending site.

Going forward I have every confidence that using Rhys and Ian for the closure management will be excellent for us and ERH.”
